Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Team Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support in the implementation of technical cooperation projects and day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the First Reporting Officer and contribute to the effective delivery of UNIDO’s mandate in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming correspondence, draft replies on non-technical matters, and follow up on pending issues.

  • Handle calls and visitors, respond to general inquiries, and direct more complex queries to appropriate personnel.

  • Draft and format routine administrative and project-related documents, ensuring alignment with UNIDO standards.

  • Use SAP and other tools to support recruitment, procurement, travel arrangements, payments, and other logistics.

  • Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings, and events.

  • Maintain accurate records and electronic/paper filing systems.

  • Research administrative and technical information as required.

  • Support the implementation of EU-funded and regional programmes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Formal training in clerical/secretarial work is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant administrative experience.

  • Experience in a multicultural or UN setting is preferred.

  • Familiarity with EU-funded and regional programme implementation is desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is required.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and editorial skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in diverse teams.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and French is required.

Remuneration

Annual Net Salary: $14,671 USD (Indicative)
