NASD OTC Market Closes Week with N5.27bn Investor Gain Amid Renewed Buying Interest

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange ended the trading week on a positive note, recording a 0.26% gain on Friday, July 11, 2025. This uptrend was driven by renewed investor interest, resulting in a N5.27 billion boost in market value.

By the close of trading, the market capitalisation had increased to N2.01 trillion, up from N2.005 trillion in the previous session. Similarly, the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) rose by 9.01 points to settle at 3,433.20 points, compared to 3,424.19 points on Thursday.

However, trading volume saw a dip, falling by 12.6% to 2.7 million units, down from 3.08 million units recorded in the previous session. Despite this, the value of traded securities surged by 55.6%, climbing to N38.9 million from N25.1 million, while the number of executed deals increased by 9.7%, from 31 to 34.

Most Traded Stocks (Year-to-Date)

  • Okitipupa Plc topped the chart as the most traded stock by value, with 153.8 million units worth N4.9 billion.

  • Air Liquide Plc followed with 507.2 million units valued at N4.2 billion.

  • FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc came third with 42.2 million units traded for N1.8 billion.

In terms of volume:

  • Impresit Bakolori Plc led with 536.9 million units exchanged for N524.8 million.

  • Air Liquide Plc maintained the second position.

  • Geo-Fluids Plc followed with 270.6 million units worth N486 million.

Gainers and Losers

  • Air Liquide Plc emerged as the top gainer of the session, appreciating by 98 Kobo to close at N10.92 per share from N9.94.

  • CSCS Plc gained 56 Kobo to close at N33.00 per unit.

  • FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc added 47 Kobo to settle at N64.36 per share.

  • LBIC Plc rose by 30 Kobo to N3.38.

  • UBN Property Plc appreciated by 19 Kobo, ending the session at N2.10 per share.

The only loser of the day was Geo-Fluids Plc, which shed 20 Kobo to close at N4.59, down from N4.79 per share.
