 About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Associate to support key human resource and administrative operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in managing payroll, ensuring compliance, and supporting field-based teams—especially within the agriculture, FMCG, or related sectors.

You will be responsible for handling employee data, statutory obligations, and operational HR tasks with efficiency and confidentiality. A strong grasp of Nigerian labor laws and payroll best practices is essential.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and employee compensation records

  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and personnel files

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and statutory deductions (Pension, PAYE, NHF, etc.)

  • Support field staff and liaise between the field and HQ on HR matters

  • Assist in employee onboarding, offboarding, and performance tracking

  • Utilize HR systems (e.g., HRMS, Sage, Zoho People) to manage staff records

  • Provide administrative support and contribute to overall HR process improvement

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum of 4 years’ HR experience, preferably in agriculture, FMCG, or similar field-intensive industries

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and managing sensitive employee data

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll tools

  • Solid understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR compliance

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and able to work independently

  • Maintain accurate audit and verification records for easy access during reviews and regulatory checks.

  • Test and evaluate the strength of internal controls in key areas like financial reporting, loan processing, and cash management.
