The Federal Ministry of Education (FME), in partnership with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has officially launched the BRIDGE ProgramBridging Research, Innovation, Development & Global Engagement.

The application portal is now open for qualified and interested individuals.

What is BRIDGE?

BRIDGE is a strategic national initiative aimed at connecting Nigerian academics and professionals with diaspora experts to promote:

  • Cross-border knowledge exchange

  • Research advancement

  • Innovation-driven collaboration

  • Modern educational practices

According to the Honourable Minister of Education, BRIDGE will transform Nigeria’s academic and research ecosystem by fostering meaningful international partnerships and improving access to global funding opportunities.

We’re seeking a detail-driven Internal Control & Compliance Officer to be the gatekeeper of financial integrity and operational excellence within our microfinance bank. You will audit, verify, and ensure compliance, safeguarding the bank from financial risks, errors, and irregularities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate audit and verification records for easy access during reviews and regulatory checks.

  • Test and evaluate the strength of internal controls in key areas like financial reporting, loan processing, and cash management.

  • Investigate irregularities, fraud, or policy breaches, providing actionable recommendations.

  • Monitor compliance with AML, KYC, and other relevant banking regulations.

  • Oversee the call over process to validate daily, weekly, and monthly transactions.
