Job Summary

PalmPay is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who is passionate about building high-performing teams and fostering a strong organizational culture.

The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting critical functions with talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives. This role requires someone with deep HR knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to solving people-related challenges across a fast-paced, multi-location organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop and implement strategic solutions, policies, and programs.

  • Lead initiatives around employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, and performance management.

  • Identify training and development needs; implement coaching and upskilling strategies across teams.

  • Collaborate with business leaders on workforce planning, compensation, and staffing decisions.

  • Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Guide contract terms for new hires, transfers, and promotions.

  • Align regional HR practices with global strategies and best practices.

  • Provide data-driven insights and HR reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist or HRBP role.

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) is a strong advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR compliance standards.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel-based payroll management.

  • Experience in managing a high headcount and remote teams across multiple locations.

  • Proven track record in employee coaching and performance management.

  • Ability to build and manage HR data dashboards and metrics.

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
