Job Description

As the Quality Manager, you will ensure high product quality in our factory, drive performance targets, and lead a team focused on eliminating quality losses. You’ll report directly to the Plant Manager and have dotted-line accountability to Corporate Quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive factory quality objectives in line with global and regional goals.

  • Manage departmental budget and oversee regular PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycles.

  • Ensure legal, food safety, and consumer quality standards are consistently met.

  • Lead quality crisis management and uphold the company’s image and policies.

  • Recruit and coach team members, establish performance goals, and build capabilities.

About the Role

The Quality Manager defines and leads the site’s quality vision and strategy. This includes full compliance with Mondelez’s internal policies and external standards, from ISO certifications to food safety regulations. The goal is to develop our Ikeja site into a world-class manufacturing facility using best-practice quality principles and continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables

  • Lead and implement Quality and Food Safety Management Policy.

  • Champion site-wide compliance with Mondelez quality policies and legal requirements.

  • Drive Zero Defects culture using IL6S and Consumer-Inspired Quality principles.

  • Oversee HACCP program and maintain robust documentation and audit systems.

  • Handle external audits and accreditations (ISO, FSSC, PAS, MANCAP, QCMS).

  • Manage quality aspects of change control processes and coordinate cross-functional activities.

  • Ensure training, coaching, and continuous development across quality-related functions.

  • Coordinate quality inspections across trade channels with Sales and CS&L teams.

  • Act as Secretary to the SSMT alongside the Plant Manager.

Educational Requirements

  • University Degree in Science or Technology-based discipline.

  • 5–10 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong background in ISO standards, compliance, and process improvement.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong experience in operations, quality, or R&D.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Deep knowledge of food safety systems, sanitation principles, and supplier quality.

  • Proficiency in quality auditing, compliance, and problem-solving techniques.

  • Strong communication, planning, and people development skills.

  • Competency in customer focus, ethics, listening, and team leadership.
