Develop Digital Solutions for Ghana’s Tax Administration

Are you ready to co-create digital public sector solutions with global impact? The World Bank Group GovTech Innovation Challenge 2025 invites early-stage startups, scale-ups, and SMEs to design and pilot cutting-edge innovations to improve Ghana’s Tax Administration.

 Who Should Apply?

Eligible companies must:

  • Be legally registered/incorporated

  • Have fewer than 75 employees

  • Generate less than $5 million USD in annual revenue

  • Possess strong technical, operational, and business capacity

  • Be available to actively engage in all challenge activities

 Key Dates & Timeline

  • Application Window: July 28 – September 12, 2025
    Submit a proposal detailing your approach, implementation plan, and impact potential for improving Ghana’s tax systems.

  • Information Sessions: August 18 – September 12, 2025
    Join online sessions with Ghana Revenue Authority to clarify technical and contextual expectations.

  • Pitch Sessions: September 15 – 26, 2025
    Present your ideas to a selection panel including World Bank and Swiss economic partners.

  • Finalist Announcement: October 3, 2025

  • GovTech Bootcamp & Conference: December 2, 2025
    Attend in Switzerland, polish your PoC, and present it during a live global summit.

  • Prototyping in Ghana: Begins in 2026
    Finalists get to pilot their innovations within Ghana Revenue Authority’s real-world environment.
