The Technical Teachers Training Programme (TTTP) is a flagship initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education, designed to transform Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria by empowering educators with advanced teaching and industry-relevant skills.

Focused on teachers in Science, Mathematics, Technical, and Vocational subjects, the programme aims to equip educators to better prepare students for the demands of today’s evolving workforce.

About the Programme

The 2025/2026 TTTP offers a fully funded, one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at no cost to selected participants. This intensive training enhances both pedagogical techniques and technical expertise, aligning instructors with 21st-century educational practices and labour market needs.

Programme Objectives

  • Upgrade qualifications of technical and vocational teachers

  • Enhance the quality of instruction in Nigeria’s technical institutions

  • Equip students with practical skills for real-world industry challenges

  • Support national development through improved TVET delivery

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be currently teaching technical or vocational subjects in a public secondary technical school or college in Nigeria

  • Have at least five (5) years of service remaining before retirement

  • Be medically fit (medical certification required at the time of application)

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Make Ready Coordinator/Security Escort ensures leased residential units are properly prepared for occupancy across all Mission agencies in Abuja. With over 150 short-term leased properties under management, this role plays a vital part in maintaining U.S. Mission housing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the General Services Office, Facilities Maintenance, and Regional Security Office (RSO) to prepare housing for new staff arrivals.

  • Inspect residences prior to employee departure to assess damages to government-furnished furniture, appliances, and equipment.

  • Supervise contractor teams (3–6 staff or more) to ensure work meets U.S. Mission requirements.

  • Serve as a security escort when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Completion of high school.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in administration and/or building trades.

Language:

  • Fluent English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Job Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with administrative procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications.
