Apply Now: UNAOC Youth Solidarity Fund 2025/2026 – $25,000 Seed Funding for Youth-Led Peace Projects

The Youth Solidarity Fund (YSF), an initiative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), is now open for applications. This global opportunity provides up to USD 25,000 in seed funding to youth-led organizations that are fostering peaceful, inclusive societies through innovative intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

In addition to funding, selected organizations will receive capacity-building support and mentorship to strengthen their project execution and enhance organizational growth.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, your organization must:

  • Be youth-led (majority of leadership and decision-making roles held by individuals aged 18–35).

  • Be a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) or a national youth council, officially registered in its country of operation.

  • Have been legally registered and operational for at least two years (by June 2023 or earlier).

  • Be based and operating in an eligible country.

  • Follow a democratic governance structure with inclusive policy-making processes.

  • Show the ability to monitor and evaluate projects, with documented reports and financial accountability.

  • Demonstrate gender inclusivity in its staff, activities, and beneficiaries.

  • Not be affiliated with violent ideologies, hate groups, or discriminatory agendas.

  • Not have received previous funding from past editions of YSF or the Intercultural Innovation Hub (organizations previously unsuccessful in applying are welcome to reapply).

Project Scope & Focus

YSF is seeking youth-led initiatives that promote intercultural or interfaith dialogue and contribute to:

  • The UN Youth, Peace and Security Agenda (UNSCR 2250, 2419, 2535)

  • The Women, Peace and Security Agenda (UNSCR 1325 and follow-ups)

  • Prevention of violent extremism and counter-terrorism efforts

  • Protection of religious sites and promotion of tolerance

  • Combating hate speech, racism, xenophobia, and religious intolerance

  • Implementation of UN resolutions and frameworks promoting inclusivity and diversity

Projects can take any form—documentaries, community programs, advocacy campaigns, workshops, etc.—as long as they aim to strengthen peace through cultural understanding.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online via the official application portal. A complete application includes:

  1. A filled application form, signed and certified by your organization

  2. A copy of your organization’s registration certificate

  3. Your organization’s statutes/by-laws

  4. An organizational chart showing the ages of key decision-makers

  5. A biography of the Executive Director (max. 1 page)

  6. The CV of the Project Coordinator (max. 2 pages)

  7. A copy of the Project Coordinator’s passport or national ID
