UNCTAD Youth Forum 2025 – Apply to Join Global Discussions on Trade & Development
The 5th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Youth Forum will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 20–23 October 2025, alongside the 16th UNCTAD Ministerial Conference.
Theme: “Shaping the Future: Driving Economic Transformation for Equitable, Inclusive, and Sustainable Development”
The Forum brings together students and young professionals aged 18–30 from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions on global trade, economic growth, and development challenges.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:

Be between 18 and 30 years old

Be fluent in spoken and written English
-
Have academic or professional experience related to UNCTAD’s areas of work
-
Demonstrate involvement in projects or initiatives related to trade and development

Submit a short motivation video (max 2 minutes, MP4 format, via YouTube or Vimeo)

Be officially selected and receive a registration link from UNCTAD
Selection Criteria
The selection process will prioritize:

Variety of academic and professional backgrounds

Quality, creativity, and originality of the application and video
A selection committee will review all submissions. Successful candidates will be announced on UNCTAD’s social media and invited to complete official registration.
