Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Multimedia Editor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative professional passionate about visual storytelling and experienced in producing multimedia content across platforms. You will lead the creation of engaging videos, podcasts, infographics, and interactive features that support our investigative journalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with reporters and editors to conceptualize compelling multimedia packages.

  • Create storyboards and production plans aligned with editorial vision and brand identity.

  • Produce, shoot, and edit both short-form and long-form video content for web and social media.

  • Enhance video projects with motion graphics, subtitles, animations, and other effects.

  • Oversee podcast recording, editing, and post-production, ensuring polished and high-quality output.

  • Mix and master audio files, incorporating transcripts and accessibility features.

  • Design interactive graphics and data visualizations to simplify complex subjects.

  • Ensure all multimedia content maintains a consistent brand style and editorial voice.

  • Work closely with editorial, design, and development teams to deliver integrated storytelling.

  • Guide and mentor junior producers and freelance contributors.

  • Monitor content performance metrics (e.g., engagement, watch time) to inform future strategies.

  • Tailor content for different platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok—optimizing formats accordingly.

  • Maintain high technical standards for all multimedia assets, adhering to editorial and production guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years of experience in multimedia production, preferably within a newsroom, creative agency, or media organization.

  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging visual narratives.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital content trends, formats, and emerging tools (AR/VR, live video, etc.).

  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Final Cut Pro; basic HTML/CSS is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.

  • Negotiate B2B agreements, including commissions, corporate contracts, PLBs, and JMFs.

  • Deliver sales targets and KPIs while managing expenditure budgets for maximum ROI.

  • Strengthen Qatar Airways’ brand presence by working closely with digital and marketing teams.

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, diplomatic missions, airports, and industry bodies.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and represent Qatar Airways legally in assigned markets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ sales experience, with extensive commercial knowledge of the Nigerian market.

  • Strong background in airline sales, including use of airline business tools and product selling.

  • Proficiency in preparing reports on sales performance and market trends.

  • Excellent knowledge of GDS systems, ticketing, and travel industry sales.

  • Proven experience in planning, budgeting, and achieving revenue targets.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide sales teams.

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client and partner relationships.

  • Ability to analyze market and competitor activity to inform strategy.
