Abosede Tomori Foundation Launches in Lagos with Free Medical Outreach and ₦2.5 Million in MSME Grants
The Abosede Tomori Foundation (ATF) officially launched on Saturday in Lagos with a robust health outreach and financial empowerment initiative aimed at supporting unemployed individuals and small business owners in underserved communities.

Held in Ejigbo, Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, the launch was led by Segun Tomori, Chairman of the Foundation and Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development. Tomori founded ATF in honour of his late mother, Abosede Adebisi Tomori, whose legacy of compassion and selflessness inspired the foundation’s mission.

“I lost my mother at a time I was still trying to find my path—when I hadn’t yet repaid her sacrifices or given her the life she deserved,” Tomori said emotionally. “This foundation is my promise to her—to ensure her name lives on by touching the lives of the less privileged in this constituency and beyond.”

A Mission Rooted in Service and Community
The Abosede Tomori Foundation is committed to building stronger communities by restoring dignity and hope through five key focus areas:

Free healthcare services for underserved populations

Scholarships and skill development for disadvantaged youth

Basic education interventions through school support initiatives

Food packs for vulnerable families

Cash grants for micro and small-scale businesses

Impact at Launch: Health + Business Support
The Foundation’s first outreach impacted over 250 residents across Ejigbo and Isolo Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) through free medical services, including consultations and drug distribution.

Additionally, 50 micro and small business owners received ₦50,000 each, amounting to ₦2.5 million in direct financial support. Over 130 bags of 5kg rice were also distributed to families in need.

“This is just the beginning,” Tomori noted. “We plan to scale our efforts across Lagos and eventually extend our impact nationwide.”

Commendations and Support from National Stakeholders
Representing the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, Special Adviser Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan applauded the initiative, describing ATF’s focus areas as “brilliant, compassionate, and timely.” He encouraged other Nigerians to replicate such grassroots-focused efforts, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Also speaking, Dr. Muhammed Bulama, Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), hailed Tomori as a young leader of remarkable promise. He pledged FRCN’s full support to amplify the foundation’s impact nationwide, adding that ATF’s mission aligns with the corporation’s mandate of national unity and upliftment.

A Gathering of Community and National Leaders
The launch drew an array of dignitaries, including representatives from:

The Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)

The National Orientation Agency

The Solid Minerals Development Fund

Local community leaders, political figures, and market association executives from Ejigbo and Isolo

The event marks a promising start for a foundation rooted in legacy, empathy, and community empowerment—one that aims to become a catalyst for lasting impact across Nigeria.
